Weekly Spread | Week 41 | #beforethepen
Sunday, 8 October 2017 - 08:00

If you've seen my previous weekly spread, you'll know I was at the hospital recently. I had to undergo a glucose tolerance test. Now, while doing this test, you're not really supposed to do anything. You're not supposed to go walking around. Since I had already had two glucose tolerance tests in the past, I knew the drill. So I decided to bring my planner, stamps, some inks, and of course washi! I wasn't going to sit there for hours and not do anything.

I decided to use another washi tube from Action for this weekly spread. I think the pink/black one is quite cute. But I thought it would have been easier to decorate with it. More than the other three tubes I purchased. When in fact I found the black/gold one a lot easier to decorate with!

This is mostly due to the wide tape. Again, I couldn't really use it anywhere in my layout. But I really wanted to use it anyway, so I decided to cut out some of the words and paste them over other lines of washi. And the thinner tapes were of course too small to use in my header boxes. So I had to cut up other bits of washi to fill those boxes entirely. That's fine, but I found that it didn't realy match all that well together. Maybe I'm too picky. Either way. I think the washi is cute, but it doesn't necessarily go well in my layout. Perhaps I should try to use these specific tapes in other planners (like the ECLP or my personal size Filofax).

Even though I think it was a bit mismatched, I still kind of like the end result here. It definitely required me to get a little more creative! And I was able to entertain myself with it, while waiting at the hospital. So there's that! 😛
